Good Care Needs Good Data: Please support Bill S3220 to establish an iPHD

Sponsored by Senators Sweeney, O’Toole, and Vitale

We thank Senators Sweeney, O’Toole and Vitale for their support and commitment to S3220, which establishes a statewide-integrated population health database (iPHD).

The GCC believes that integrated data will support innovation and smart policy-making, positioning the state to become a national model for delivering good care for every patient, every day. This legislation will create a statewide iPHD, which provides the infrastructure to link health data with social data for research purposes, on a project-by-project basis, while protecting the privacy and security of the data.

The iPHD will aid in improving health outcomes and reducing costs by allowing us to understand forces both within and outside the health service sectors that impact a person’s health.

You can read more about iPHD and review the legislation.

To show your support for iPHD, please review and send the support letter below with your organizational information to the members of the NJ Senate Health Committee.
